Toronto 3D Men's Team Ready, Set, and Off to China.

Have you been to China? If you haven't, the Toronto 3D invite you to enjoy behind-the-scenes footage from the upcoming 2016 tournament in China, scheduled May 4 - May 16th.

3D Global Sports: Toronto 3D Men's team will be making their return to China in 2016 to play against NBA D-League select, a premier team from Lithuania's top league, and the China National B team. 3D will be traveling and competing throughout the following dates and cities:
 

May 5 – 7, in Yunyang, Chongqing
May 9 – 11, in Wanyuan, Sichuan
May 13 – 15, in henzhen, Guangdong

The 3D program focuses on providing opportunity and development for Canadian basketball talent. For this tournament, 3D founder and general manager, Teddy Tochev, scouted and recruited some of Canada’s premier basketball players, comprised of seniors and graduates from Canadian Universities and Colleges to experience competition on the international level and represent their country.

In 2015, the 3D Global Sports men’s team, the “Toronto 3D” competed against Cairns Taipans of the Australian NBL, a mix of NBA D-League All-stars, and the China National B Team. This year, the 3D program will be taking 15 persons, including original 3D members, Teddy Tochev, Zach Nagtzaam, and Shane Nicely, who will be returning to China for the third year in a row. The 2016 Toronto 3D roster will consist of a few seasoned vets, but mostly young, athletic players to further strengthen the core unit and continued growth of the program. We'll be announcing the Toronto 3D roster for the 2016 China tournament mid April.

Joining the 3D team, will be video director, Zachary Scholtz, to capture live footage and provide behind-the-scenes media throughout the trip. Returning for their second year in a row, are head athletic trainer, Jamal Lynch, who worked with Canada’s National Team, and European FIBA Masters certified head coach, Fatih Akser.

3D partnered with Canadian (CIS) University basketball programs and worked with coaches to scout and recruit premier Canadian players to join the 3D team on this international FIBA tournament. The Toronto 3D 2016 roster will comprise of seven CIS Canadian players, from seven different university programs and four provinces, as well as players with NCAA and national level experience.
