International Development Coaching Program

Background: In 2018, 3D Global Sports Canada were crowned Champions of the 40th William Jones Cup; a historic tournament named after the founder of FIBA. In preparing to defend their title, 3D Global Sports launched the International Development Coaching Program (IDCP). The purpose of the IDCP was to give coaches the opportunity to join 3D Canada, as part of their coaching-staff, for the historic 40th William Jones Cup.

2019

The opportunity: Through the IDCP, coaches will receive international coaching development co-led by the 3D head-coach and the general manager of 3D Global Sports. The 3D Global Sports program will be organizing an All-American/Canadian United All-Star team to play agaisnt Team China Women's National A Team for exhibition games to prepare for their FIBA World Cup in September.

This Sino-International Women's Basketball Challenge will be from May 28th to June 5th and will be broadcasted and streamed all throughout China with 3 games in 3 different cities. IDCP Coaching Opportunity RECAP:

  • Part of the Coaching staff that plays China Women's National A Basketball Team.
  • 3 Games in 3 different cities in China.
  • Televised and broadcasted games on 14 different media platforms and networks.
