E04: BC Vytautas (Lithuania)
William Jones Cup Championship Game
3D Global Sports represented the Canadian nation to the fullest and made history by bringing home the gold to win the William Jones Cup. This was only the 2nd time a Canada team won, which dates back to 1981 with the National Team. 3D Canada put together one of the best Canadian rosters, both players and coaches, that represented the nation. Lead by Head Coach Kyle Julius (National Basketball League of Canada Coach of the Year and Champion), 3D Canada competed and beat the official FIBA National Teams of the Philippines, South Korea, Iraq, Iran, India, Chinese Taipei, and Japan.
However, the toughest opponent Canada had to go through in-order to win the 39th William Jones Cup was Lithuania's BC Preinai Vytautas of the Lithuanian (LKL) League. This will go down in history as one of the most grueling games the 3D Canada organization has ever participated and competed in. Both teams were tied in first place with an 8-1 record heading into the championship game. Legendary Lithuanian Head Coach of BC Vytautas, Virginijus Seskus, lead his troops to a commendable performance against our nations red.
